I am so very proud to say I am an alumnus of Clemson University!
May 9th I obtained my bachelor's degree in Management from the College of Business and Behavioral Science. This moment was everything I could of dreamed of and more. My family and friends supported me on my big day and I was so happy to share this moment with them. My college experience has been challenging yet rewarding and I'm so happy that I've completed this chapter in my life but it wouldn't have been possible without my incredible support system and my faith in God. I can honestly say this past year in school was my most challenging one yet. I have never been one to complain or doubt because I always knew that God wouldn't give me more than I could bare. A wise man once said, “All people are either going into a storm, in the midst of a storm, or coming out of a storm.” I've learned so much about myself that I am grateful for every storm because it helped me become a better woman.
My mother has always been my rock, my best friend, and my #1 supporter. She has been there with me every step up the way. I am inspired by her everyday to pursue my dreams and continue to be a God-fearing woman. I love her more than anything in this world. I found this picture of my mommy on her graduation day and it brought tears to my eyes. I'm so happy I could make her proud.
Two weeks before graduation I decided to take photos for memories. I worked with Jacob Dean who is an amazing photographer in the Clemson area.
I don't think it really hit me until I was walking to the lower level of the coliseum waiting to walk out. It's definitely an exciting time in my life right now but I must admit it was natural for me to worry about what I would be doing after graduation. I knew I wanted to go to graduate school but I wanted to be employed full time and start graduate school in the spring of next year. I was very blessed to get the phone call a week before graduation that I had been offered a full time position with a great company located about 30 minutes outside of Atlanta, GA. That's right! In about three weeks I will be moving to become a new Georgia peach! A lot of people ask me I'm I nervous but honestly it seems so right I don't feel nervous at all. When you feel like you are where you're supposed to be it feels natural. I'm excited about what God has in store for me. This is only the beginning!
