#SouthBeachLife My Weekend Getaway

As the New Year comes along its the most common times we create new goals and maintain focus on clarifying our objectives and ways of attaining them. One of my top five goals this year is definitely to travel more and experience what different places have to offer.

When my cousin presented the opportunity to travel to Miami for a weekend getaway I was more than excited to go! It was my first time in Miami and I have to admit I didn't want to come back home. From the weather to dining to the beach, it was a trip to remember. We stayed at the historic Colony Hotel on South Beach during the Art & Decor Festival. At times through out the trip I found myself gazing at the palm trees in the cool night sky and just thanking God for this experience. It may sound strange but I couldn't help but think of everyday folks, people like myself who work hard everyday but still never get to travel to beautiful places. I am truly blessed to have been able to just relax, forget about work for a moment, and most importantly enjoy life!
