#SouthBeachLife My Weekend Getaway
As the New Year comes along its the most common times we create new goals and maintain focus on clarifying our objectives and ways of attaining them. One of my top five goals this year is definitely to travel more and experience what different places have to offer. When my cousin presented the opportunity to travel to Miami for a weekend getaway I was more than excited to go! It was my first time in Miami and I have to admit I didn't want to come back home. From the weather to dining to the beach, it was a trip to remember. We stayed at the historic Colony Hotel on South Beach during the Art & Decor Festival. At times through out the trip I found myself gazing at the palm trees in the cool night sky and just thanking God for this experience. It may sound strange but I couldn't help but think of everyday folks, people like myself who work hard everyday but still never get to travel to beautiful places. I am truly blessed to have been able to just relax, forget about work for a moment, and most importantly enjoy life!

Queen Bee in the QC: CIAA Recap Ft. GITI
After attending CIAA the past three years I always looked forward to the event in the Queen city (Charlotte, NC) at the end of February. This year's tournament weekend for myself has been the best so far. I enjoyed meeting up with my family and friends, doing D&D (dinner + drinks), catching up, and attending some great events.
I've always been the type to plan my outfits and I enjoy putting pieces together to complete my looks for whatever the occasion. CIAA was no different, so you know I had to find the perfect ensembles to party the night away.
I received many compliments on my looks so I decided to share with you beauties the deets on where I shop.
Since moving to the metro Atlanta area I've been spoiled by all of the great stores and boutiques that carry a wide variety of some of the best clothing I have had to complete my fall/winter wardrobe this season. I rarely order online anymore unless it's something I know I wouldn't be able to purchase in store.
One of my favorite stores has been a trendy boutique called GITI.
GITI has been my go to store having everything from beautiful dresses, to joggers and jumpsuits. They carry a wide variety of clothing, cater to women of all sizes, and even partner with businesses for wholesaling.
The first piece that caught my eye was a beautiful mustard yellow dress. You ever just feel like something was made just for you? It definitely stood out to me and the drapping and knot in the front covered my problem area very well (my stomach isn't as flat as it may appear LOL). I wore this dress to a party at the Ritz Carlton with my faux fur coat from Forever21 (click here for the coat). I swear I felt like Cookie from Empire LOL Confidence on a trillion! I also purchased some faux leather burgundy joggers perfect for a day party look. The joggers were super comfortable and chic.
Hope you guys enjoy!

Family Fun: It's Reunion Time!
Hey Yall!
Oh how I've missed blogging! It's been a roller coaster since my last post after I graduated this past May. I'm enjoying myself in Georgia and I definitely feel as though I made the right decision. The majority of my life right now consists of working in my new position which is going well & of course still hanging out with my family & friends!
I'm excited to share photos from my family reunion last weekend in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. I come from a huge family and bi-annually we choose a destination & all head there from different parts of the states for a weekend of activities, laughter, and fun! It was my first time in Tennessee and I must say the scenery was amazing. I enjoyed the time riding enjoying the scenery & catching up reminiscing on old times with my family.
Our Saturday began with a family breakfast and our huge family photo. We started off by visiting the Hollywood Wax Museum. For anyone who hasn't been there it's filled with wax figures of famous and iconic people in Hollywood and they look sooo realistic! People visit to take pictures with the celebrities and get the ultimate celebrity experience. I enjoyed snapping a few pictures with some of my fav celebs & my cousins & I had a blast. We also enjoyed go carting which I haven't done since I was little!
The night ended with our family banquet which is a semi-formal event in which we honor our elders those living and deceased, share our family history, have a nice dinner, take tons of photos, perform our talents, have a fashion show, and dance!
After the banquet my cousins and I went out for drinks at the Hard Rock and enjoyed some good music and a night out on the town.
Anytime I'm around my family there is nothing but love & support & I wouldn't be who I am today without them. The 2016 reunion is being held in Maryland and I can't wait!
footage from our family photo session!
Listening to my aunt share stories of my grandma growing up is priceless! (my grandma is an OG lol)

Brains, Beauty, and Business: My Graduation Day
I am so very proud to say I am an alumnus of Clemson University!
May 9th I obtained my bachelor's degree in Management from the College of Business and Behavioral Science. This moment was everything I could of dreamed of and more. My family and friends supported me on my big day and I was so happy to share this moment with them. My college experience has been challenging yet rewarding and I'm so happy that I've completed this chapter in my life but it wouldn't have been possible without my incredible support system and my faith in God. I can honestly say this past year in school was my most challenging one yet. I have never been one to complain or doubt because I always knew that God wouldn't give me more than I could bare. A wise man once said, “All people are either going into a storm, in the midst of a storm, or coming out of a storm.” I've learned so much about myself that I am grateful for every storm because it helped me become a better woman.
My mother has always been my rock, my best friend, and my #1 supporter. She has been there with me every step up the way. I am inspired by her everyday to pursue my dreams and continue to be a God-fearing woman. I love her more than anything in this world. I found this picture of my mommy on her graduation day and it brought tears to my eyes. I'm so happy I could make her proud.
Two weeks before graduation I decided to take photos for memories. I worked with Jacob Dean who is an amazing photographer in the Clemson area.
I don't think it really hit me until I was walking to the lower level of the coliseum waiting to walk out. It's definitely an exciting time in my life right now but I must admit it was natural for me to worry about what I would be doing after graduation. I knew I wanted to go to graduate school but I wanted to be employed full time and start graduate school in the spring of next year. I was very blessed to get the phone call a week before graduation that I had been offered a full time position with a great company located about 30 minutes outside of Atlanta, GA. That's right! In about three weeks I will be moving to become a new Georgia peach! A lot of people ask me I'm I nervous but honestly it seems so right I don't feel nervous at all. When you feel like you are where you're supposed to be it feels natural. I'm excited about what God has in store for me. This is only the beginning!
